He is currently a Profesor Titular at UPM and Director of \u2018Centre for Automation and Robotics UPM-CSIC\u2019.<\/p><p>He has participated and coordinated several research projects in Robotics and Auto- matic Control, both at national and international programs. His research interest is fo- cused on Automatic Control, Advanced Telerobotics, and Haptics. He has four patents of haptic devices and stereoscopic video cameras. He is author of more than 140 publi- cations and editor of the &#8216;Springer Series on Touch and Haptics System&#8217;.<\/p><p>He is a member of EuroHaptics Society, IEEE, euRobotics and CEA. He has served as chair of serveral committees. Currently, he serves as a Treasurer of EuroHaptics Society and chair of euRobotics Technical Committee on Telerobotics &amp; Teleoperation.
