Professor Victoria Lopez, PhD
Foundational Member of ISAAAC Advisory Board
Computational Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, Complutense University Madrid (UCM)

Prof. Victoria Lopez got her PhD in Computational Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. Victoria thesis was entitled “Design and Verification of Fuzzy Algorithms in Security and Teledetection” (Oct, 2004, Polytechnic University, Madrid, Spain).

She was working several years at Nebrija University and Saint Louis University teaching Software Engineering, Programming, Algorithm Design and Logic. She also was associated to Statistics and Operative Research department at Complutense University where I learnt a lot about data analytics.

At this moment Prof. Lopez is working at Complutense University as Profesor Contratado Doctor (Tenure Track). She serves as head of G-TeC research group within GRASIA group (http://grasia.fdi.ucm.es/newmain/language/en/). Here, she has been involved in several projects about fuzzy decision-making, mobile technology, data analysis and bioinformatics.

She has served as external reviewer of audit process for several certification companies in Big Data projects; her main expertise there is specification, data collection and data integration but she can cover all stages of the project.

Prof. Lopez likes R programming and all functional programming languages like Haskell or Scala. She likes also algorithm design and teach about that is her best.

As a teacher, she teaches Computer System Audit (Auditoría informática) and Computer Performance in the Degree of Computer Engineering.
