Thomas Kapitza is a senior business expert for multidisciplinary business projects mainly in the healthcare sector. Based in Germering (nearby Munich/ Germany) he led and executed more than 250 projects for german and international clients since 1990 (Austria, Denmark, France, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, PR China & Hong Kong, Russia, Switzerland, UAE, USA). His major fields of expertise are the implementation & coordination of multidisciplinary projects and initiatives (e.g. innovation projects regarding digitization of healthcare sector and elderly care sector), business & innovation development & planning in the healthcare sector for private investors and public authorities, statuatory health insurance companies, scientific associations, hospital groups, private banks & international development banks, medical device manufacturers and healthcare service providers.

As a publicly appointed and sworn expert in Germany, he provides impartial expert reports for german courts since 2002. Furthermore he is certified expert DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 for HC industry. Thomas is the only health sector expert with this scope of services in the EU.

He is a member of several working groups of industrial associations, scientific advisory boards and strategic advisory councils. Since 2010 he is coordinating a comprehensive multidisciplinary and international senior expert network (C-suite level) in the healthcare sector (Germany/ Austria/ Switzerland). He is expert advisor of several german scientific associations and member of influential groups in the HC sector (DNVF, HCB, FMTP, DCGM).

Thomas publishes articles and gives lectures in the field of health economics, health technology, medical ethics and socio-economic focused publications. Since 2003 he works as a honorary commercial judge at County Court Munich, publicly appointed and sworn by Bavarian Minister of Justice. Thomas holds a degree (Diplom-Kaufmann/ commercial graduate) in business management and administration (focus: healthcare sector) of University of Munich.
