Lisa Schlecht is the founder of Recharted Territory, a consulting agency that helps organizations and individuals transform complex systems and enterprises. Her expertise includes systems engineering, product development, scaled agile, and portfolio management. Recharted Territory focuses on the unique challenges of improving innovation capacity in highly-constrained or difficult environments.

As CEO and through prior engagements, she has consulted for nonprofits, governments, start- ups, and universities in the Americas. She has approached challenges ranging from appropriate technology and innovation policy to product design processes and enterprise customer relationship management from a systems perspective. Applying a blend of business, design, technology, and policy to identify opportunities and build sustainable solutions.

She holds a dual Master’s degree (S.M.) in Mechanical Engineering and Technology Policy from MIT, completing research in the Ideation Lab under the supervision of Professor Maria Yang.

She also received a Bachelor’s degree (S.B.) in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
